We visited the famous Onsen Hot Pools while we were staying in Queenstown. We booked it a few months in advance to make sure we get a spot and a time that suited us.
Lucky for us, it snowed the day before so the views that we got from our Onsen was stunning blue Shotover River and everything else covered in beautiful white snow.
Onsen tip: If you’re booking for a room only package, make sure to bring your own towels as they charge for towel hire.
